La Siesta, a brand known for producing top-quality hammocks, started as a small garage operation in 1991 by Alexander and Dorothee Grisar. Their first hammock was a hit, and they quickly became renowned for their high-quality products. In 2008, they pioneered the use of organic cotton in hammocks, but it wasn't readily available in Latin America. To address this, Alexander founded SOCiLA, a non-profit organization that helps cultivate organic cotton in the region. Although he has since stepped down from La Siesta, his sons now run the hammock business while he focuses on SOCiLA.

We are proud to offer La Siesta hammocks, a brand with an inspiring story and a commitment to sustainability. Fun fact: La Siesta holds the Guinness World Record for hosting the largest hammock event in history!
